April Baking Checklist (2026)

April baking is full-on spring, and I’m here for it. The warmer weather has me ready to open the windows, fire up the grill, and start baking all the things that feel a little lighter and fresher.

I’m already planning on making my sourdough hot dog buns for easy dinners, and I can’t stop thinking about all the fresh produce—sourdough zucchini bread, strawberry discard cake, sourdough lemon loaf… it’s that time again. And of course, I’m still keeping a few of our favorite staples in the mix because they’re just too good not to.
