Hello March! I’m so excited to see you – hoping for a little bit of warmer weather this month – who’s with me?! I’m ready for some fun, springy sourdough bakes – even if it’s not quite spring yet. I’ll be stocking my freezer with blueberry sourdough bagels, soft sourdough sandwich bread, and my favorite lemon blueberry sourdough scones!

Even though March is a longer month – we’re looking forward to celebrating Pi Day with our traditional Derby Pie and sourdough pie crust recipe. And I always love making my Discard Irish Soda Bread around St. Patrick’s Day. This March list has some old favorites and a few fun ones sprinkled in. Find my March recipes below and come bake along with me!

Hi Amy, I am very new like last week to my sour dough journey. I really don’t like the taste of sour dough, and I know this is a silly question.
But I really enjoy baking bread. So, I really would like to learn this process. Is there a way to make sourdough without the sour taste? if there is I would really thank you if you could tell me how. Also do I have to discard my part of my starter every time I feed her. it just doesn’t make since to me. Thank you so much for your help.

Ooh thank you, I can’t wait for my starter to be strong enough to successfully make bread!!
